2 Arrested in Georgia on Drug Charges

A male and a female who were staying at a campground in the Buford area were recently arrested. Police and other agencies in Georgia made the arrest after receiving information about the accused individuals. Both of the accused are now facing various drug charges, which can have significant consequences if they are convicted.

According to a local news report, the Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force and the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad received information that led them to a campsite where the accused were located. Upon searching the area, authorities claim to have found methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and a variety of other pills. The combined street value of the drugs was approximately $42,000. A weapon, drug paraphernalia and a large sum of cash were also confiscated.

After an inspection of the campsite, a 26-year-old female and a 40-year-old male were promptly arrested. There were transported to and booked into the jail in Hall County. It was not reported if any court dates have been arranged to address the concerns in their individual cases.

The drug charges in this case include trafficking, possession and paraphernalia. With the weapons charge on top of these, the penalties tied to a conviction may include lengthy prison terms and hefty fines. As both of the accused individuals are in for tough legal battles, they could likely benefit from the services of an experienced criminal defense attorney. With someone who is on their side, fighting for their best interests, all the necessary steps to achieve the best possible outcome can be taken.
