4 Arrested for Alleged Drug-Related Crimes

A person’s life can change in an instant. When authorities show up at a residence to conduct a search for illegal substances, the individuals inside could be facing such a life-changing moment. If officers believe that those parties have a connection to drug-related crimes, the individuals could face serious criminal charges and need to make essential decisions regarding their futures.

It was recently reported that four individuals were taken into custody in Georgia after officers conducted a search of a home. Apparently, the officers had obtained a search warrant for the residence, and during the search, they allegedly found methamphetamine, prescription pills, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, drug paraphernalia and firearms. Two men, ages 41 and 28, and two women, both 22 years old, were taken into custody.

All four individuals are facing the following charges:

  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
  • Trafficking in methamphetamine
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • Possession of controlled substances
  • Possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

The allegations that these individuals face range from misdemeanors to felony drug-related crimes. As a result, they will certainly want to ensure that they fully understand what each of the charges means and how they could individually defend against them. Though taken into custody at the same time, each of these Georgia residents has his or her own criminal case to address, and taking the time to find defense options that suits each person’s needs could be a smart course of action to follow.
